Purpose

Jungle House is a charity organization that brings together passionate and committed volunteers to help remote communities identify their own need and empower them to be self sustainable in health care, education, food security and community economic development.

Strategic Goals

Jungle House provides a variety of community development support to deprived communities in Ghana. Most of the issues faced by the communities are inter-woven, for instance a lack of access to food can lead to poor educational performance, sickness or inability work productively.

In response to the nature of challenges the communities face, The Jungle House Strategic Goals are wide-ranging:
. Help communities to achieve self-sustainable healthcare
. Provide urgent relief to the most vulnerable families
. Enable universal access to childhood education
. Facilitate access to sufficient nutritious food
.Maximize sustainable community economic development
.Work to achieve the recognition of rights of communities by authorities

Junglehouse's Services

Vulnerable communities desire support across a wide range of development areas. To meet the various needs of communities, Jungle House has a prioritized set of services that are aligned with its strategic goals.
The Core Services receive the most attention, spanning issues that are often the most urgent for communities such as healthcare, family relief and education.

Core Services

Core services are provided to all communities as a first priority. Provision of healthcare, food and clothing is invariably urgent because of immediate risks to community wellbeing.
Education is also primary because of the need to break the cycle of poverty and vulnerability that characterizes marginalized communities.

Supplementary Services

The Supplementary services are vital for the longer-term sustainable development of communities and tend to involve longer-term initiatives in which communities are central and have lead participants.

Operations

Jungle House strives to make the most of time and resources available so that it can maximize impact. We therefore adopt Urgent field support thus regular short duration visits and Extended field support for sustainable capacity building. Urgent Field support includes interventions in urgent medical issues and lack of food and clothing, assessment of community needs, assets and development priorities to support planning.
Extended filed support seeks to engage communities over longer periods in participatory community development that requires increased stakeholder collaborations.

Partnership

Jungle House is open to partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and institutions to achieve common goals and access resources and skills required for our work.
Jungle House Foundation is overseen by a board and has a strong core team of permanent members also working with a larger extended team.

Fundraising Strategy

Jungle House Foundation depends on private donors, foundations and sponsors to cover project and operational costs from medicines and educational support to transport and basic office supplies. We do not only target major corporations and organizations that may provide long term funding but we minor, regular individual donors who provide a base level of support and have the potential to become future major donors.
Jungle House provides fund raising ideas and materials targeted at individuals, schools and small businesses especially at the grassroots level where volunteers do most of the work. We are looking to develop a unique fundraising event to enable us earn a consistent revenue stream and increase awareness on our cause.
We will also be holding several fundraising events per year as well as partner local organizations to co-host awareness and fundraising events, which will enable cost sharing and access to new potential donors.

Implementation, Planning, Monitoring and evaluation

Progress against the strategic plan is monitored at monthly board meetings. Each community that Jungle House works with undergoes a baseline assessment in which current status and community goals are described in order to provide clear direction and accurately monitor progress.
Progress is continually communicated to donors. Partners, member volunteers and other interested parties via monthly e-mail bulletins, website updates at events and via the annual report.
